Baby Down, a Doll with Features of Down Syndrome

Respect, understanding and acceptance are very necessary aspects in our society, it is necessary that these values be given in children from an early age, the benefit is truly enormous both for the child and for those around him. Members of the Spanish Federation of Down syndrome who have staged a new initiative allowing to establish these values are very aware.

Just submitted Baby Down, a doll as any other, but with a special feature, presents the features that characterize those who suffer from Down syndrome, in the form of almond, more flattened nasal bridge, smaller ears and eyes in a lower position than normal, small and shaped head flat on the back, small hands and short fingers, Palm crossed by a crease, straight hair or more narrow palate among other features. The doll has a very special function, that children accept and respect differences as something natural.
Baby Down comes with a brochure that explains niƱ@s l@s how to play with her while they stimulate your five senses, you can read it here (Pdf). For each Baby Down that is sold, the manufacturer will donate 2 euros to finance projects of the Spanish Federation of Down syndrome that provide better quality of life to people with Down syndrome and their families.

Toys are an effective tool to promote the acceptance, similar to long time dolls of different races were promoted to promote integration among small, dolls Baby Down will have the task of promoting the acceptance of and respect towards children suffering from this syndrome.
