Emigration and Living Peru – Conclusion

According to securitypology, when emigrating to Peru you are confronted with many problems that you can hardly imagine beforehand. You also have to make significant compromises from the previously accustomed standard of living and come to terms with a completely different culture, which can often lead to misunderstandings and disappointments for Europeans. For language courses, make sure that it is South American Spanish. Some advantages of the country: No nuclear power, lots of forest, low cost of living (LHK-I 58.8).

Work – job offer

German-language jobs for emigrants, which can also be carried out in Peru, are available on the Osourced portal. Native speakers in particular are in great demand. The employers come mainly from Germany and DACH. The wages are usually below the German level but above the local level in Peru. Emigrants with German language skills benefit from a locally above-average wage with low cost of living at the same time (geo-arbitrage). Tip: Emigrants can still apply for a job in Germany. With a job offer, emigrating is much easier.

A work visa – Trabajador – is only issued (at the Immigration Service) with a valid employment contract with a company in Peru. The applicant is then also the company. The work permit then issued is only a temporary permit, i.e. for a specific and time-limited work.

Finding a better paid job is very difficult here. The average wages are between 600 and 1,000 soles. You should of course have a good command of Spanish. You can definitely start a business with import / export, for example, or produce something here and export it to Europe. However, you should only dare to do this if you have very good contacts.

Peruvians are very nice in their private lives, but business is pretty tough. Nothing is given to you, everyone is concerned about their own benefit and compassion or selfless help is completely unknown. Foreigners are seen as a source of money.
