Exhibition on “Toys of a Lifetime”, Family

We continue with our proposals for leisure with family for Christmas, this time with a tribute to the classic toys in the exhibition “Toys of a lifetime”, that you can see during these holidays in the Palacio Euskalduna, Bilbao.

Here screens and technology are left aside to make way for dolls, constructions and board games, but the of decades ago, those with them playing our grandparents, parents, and in some cases us! The exhibition was made possible by the contributions of many collectors of all Spain.

It is certainly a ride for nostalgic, but suitable for the whole family, since the children can learn a lot about other modes of play, some ways that I’m sure would also like them.

Simplicity is not incompatible with the fun, but is that even these old toys we find examples of wit and stimulation of the imagination that already some of the bloqueo toys of today would like to day, by much canned noise making.

In the exhibition you can see a total of 19 dioramas, composed of 1.500.000 parts, 1,050 models as well as a collection of spectacular statues, with compositions by Exin castles, Meccano, Lego, Barbie, Transformers and Märklin.

As you can see, some classic toys don’t go out of fashion, so our children are playing with them. The exhibition “Toys of life” is in in the Palacio Euskalduna of Bilbao until January 6th and entry costs 5 euros (for children under three years is free).
